Subject: HEADPHONERS BEWARE
The left channel of this recording is wraught with muffling and distortion, making it unlistenable if you are planning on rocking with headphones. I'm sure it's passable for a speaker setup, but I couldn't get through one song on the iPod without skipping it. I haven't tried the other sbd source yet, but I hope it's better than this.

I had a tape of this long ago; this is a stellar show, and the performance itself is highly recommended. Try the other sources first, though.

Subject: My 1st New Year's show!
This was part of my 1st trip to CA ans was my 1st New Year's show! I flew in from KC and enjoyed the 1st 3 nights. Nevilles opener 12/30 & 12/31 were a big bonus! Got my ticket for the New Yrs. show in front of the BART terminal near the venue, was a show I'll never forget. Met Bill Graham, got in quite early, a night that I'll never forget. Was truly a show for the ages...

Subject: Great Show. Get the video!
This show is a goody. The terrapin is raging. THe video is worth getting. Speaking of videos, how is the sbd show on here as there is a commercial release. Even though it's not the sbd from the video...well it's not a video at least.

Subject: Love this Show
One of my favorites I bet that of all the shows I've got, this one gets the most listening time, probably some sentimental value there...watched it on Pay Per View way back when and had video tape of the whole thing..one of my favorite first sets. Second set
started off fine but seemed to kind of slope off a bit. Always bugged me that the official release video cut Promised Land out. A hot Little Red Rooster, a smoking "Push" a sweet Birdsong and a real nice "Music" made it a real nice first set. Hell/UJB/Terrapin were wonderfully played.

I give it 5 stars

Subject: Great Show
I did not go to this show but I think it is one of the best I have ever heard. Brent is on fire, and boys rocking big time...:) This show was my first bootleg tape and it was labeled "Pittsburgh 87". I looked high and low for the whole show but never could find it. Then I met my hubby and he had this show! No wonder I could never get a copy! Definately worth the download. Peace to all.

Subject: Sound levels
The sound levels of this recording are real good and the mix is excellent, the only thing that is bothersome is the slight background noise coming from the left channel. Superb Show!!!
